What Chatmint is
Chatmint is a free set of browser tools for making chat and social-media screenshots that look like the apps people use every day — iMessage, WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, Telegram, X and Reddit. You type a conversation, adjust the details that make a screenshot believable at a glance, and export it as a high-resolution PNG.
There is no account, no watermark, and no install. Every generator is a single page: open it, build the chat, download the image.
Who it is for
The people who use tools like this are usually making something to be looked at, not something to be believed: meme accounts and social media creators, designers mocking up a messaging UI, writers and filmmakers storyboarding a text-message scene, teachers and trainers building examples, and marketers putting a chat bubble in a slide or ad concept.
How your data is handled
Your conversation never leaves your device. The preview is rendered in the page, and the PNG is generated in your own browser at export time — the text, names, and images you type in are not uploaded to a server, not stored, and not visible to us.
The site uses privacy-friendly analytics to count page views and see which tools get used. That tells us a page was opened; it does not tell us what you wrote in it.
What it is not for
These images are for entertainment, mockups, and harmless pranks. Do not use them to impersonate a specific person, to fabricate evidence for a legal, academic, or workplace dispute, to deceive anyone into sending money, or to harass someone. Passing a generated screenshot off as a genuine conversation can cause serious harm and, depending on where you are and what you use it for, can be illegal.
If you are on the receiving end of a screenshot you suspect was made with a tool like this: generated images have no message metadata behind them, so ask for the conversation to be shown in the app itself rather than as a picture.

Chatmint is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Apple, Meta, Instagram, WhatsApp, Telegram, X, Reddit, or any other messaging platform. All product names and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and are used here only to describe the visual style a generator imitates.
